Show Terms & Conditions
Members who wish to exhibit at competition shows are to abide by the following terms and conditions laid down by the committee and under the rules of the Poultry Club of Great Britain.
1) All birds must be in a fit and healthy condition. Birds, which are not in a fit and healthy condition, shall be disqualified and removed to a quarantine area away from other member’s birds. (Any such action shall be reported at the first opportunity to a full committee to decide if further action should be taken against the exhibitor).
2) All birds shall be transported to the show in suitable containers.
3) Exhibitors shall be responsible for providing food and water for their birds. Drinkers are available on request.
4) No birds or exhibits shall be attended to during judging.
5) No exhibitor shall approach the judges prior to or during judging. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
6) No birds or exhibits shall be entered in duplicate classes.
7) No telephone entries shall be accepted.
8) Late entries and those not accompanied by fees shall not be accepted.
9) No leg rings except National Poultry Club rings shall be allowed.
10) No person shall leave the show with birds until the show is finished.
11) Juveniles entering any classes other than Juvenile shall pay adult entrance fees.
12) Classes may be amalgamated or divided into sub-classes at the committees discretion
13) All entry forms shall state breed, colour and sex of all exhibits.
14) Non-standard colours or breeds may only be exhibited in non-standard classes. (Any non-standard colours shall be disqualified from relevant breed classes.)
15) Rosettes shall only be awarded to classes with six or more exhibits.
16) Whilst taking reasonable care, the club cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to birds, exhibits or equipment.
17) The committee takes no responsibility for contents of selling classes.
18) Any breach of these terms and conditions shall be reported at the first opportunity to a full committee to decide if further action should be taken
19) The decision of the committee shall be final and binding.
